Kiddie Update

Just a few:

- J didn’t play on Saturday, but did play after everyone left the field at team practice time. He played tag. Hehe.

- NM played but their team didn’t win. They played a make-up game (cancelled due to Ike) but they lost that one. He did a great job as goalie and defender when he was out there.

- Did I ever mention I got them to eat spinach in white sauce over pasta? They both liked it but taste-wise I don’t think you can tell it was there.

- Sprocket is still nippy. I’ve been told by several people it’s a stage. I sure hope so. She still nips at J the most but will be the first one by his side if he cries when he gets hurt.

- Today NM said: “Alright! School is fun today, right J?”

- Both boys took their hard-earned pay to Target to go shopping. J got a Hotwheels track and NM got two ping pong paddles and ping pong balls. Err…table tennis, he corrects me.

- We learned that our dining table doubles very nicely as a table tennis table.

- NM said to me after we played: “Mom, you play pretty good for your age!” Hmmmm…what age does he mean? That had me in stitches for a while.

- Other thing that had me in stitches: J fell and got hurt. It was late, he was tired and so he cried. And cried. And cried. And cried. And milked it further and cried. So I said “will you cry for me so I can get it on camera?” He tests his bottom lip in the mirror. In, or out, which is more pouty and sad looking? How far out can my bottom lip go? Which way should I have my eyes? Oh my, we all had a good laugh over that one and I’ve got it on video.
