Eyelet row plus six rows of 1×1 ribbing around the neckline, arms and hem. Originally, I did a picot there, but I didn’t like how it looked at all (popped out), so I undid it and did the ribbing. Added sleeves, length till just above the elbows.

I believe I cast on for 32″ bust, but I’m not sure because–yeah, yeah–I took no notes. I did, however, try on as I went, making an investment in unwaxed dental floss for that reason. I had learned earlier why not to used waxed floss as a lifeline*. The yarn in Lion Brand Microspun in black. It’s super soft and wears well which is why I nabbed all the black ones on clearance sale at Michaels last year. I started knitting this in April during the women’s retreat at church but only recently picked it up again.

Yes, this photo was taken before the ends were woven. Yes, I bound the arms off too tightly but I will live with it. I love this sleeve length! Hubby says it looks good, too, so that’s a big plus in my book. I wore it already, but it’ll get laundered soon. Fortunately, it’s ok in the washing machine. If not, I’d still use the machine but put it in a laundry bag on delicate.

*Thread slick yarn or unwaxed dental floss through all your live stitches with a tapestry needle. You can then safely take them off the circular needles and try on your garment to see how it’s fitting. A lifeline is also helpful when you are knitting lace. You can frog to the lifeline and safely start over.

Thanks, Girlie! I bet you would surprise yourself. It’s just practice. Knitting in the round is so much easier than back and forth. You should go look at knittinghelp.com for tips and video.

That’s nice. It’s a bonus that you can wash it in the machine.
