This is Knitty.com‘s Branching Out pattern. I knit it in Elsbeth Lavold 50/50 wool alpaca yarn and I can’t remember the name of it, but the color is Arctic Night and very pretty.

I used a small needle, size 6 when it calls for 8 because I used a thinner weight yarn, but I think it would have worked also to use the size 8 that the patter calls for.

This was gifted to my sister for Christmas and she liked it :) I know she likes dark blue, so I thought she might. It’s not too thick so that she can wear it in the not-too-cold CA winters.
