Our Menu for Sunday

So here goes. I wanted ham but hubby said something about ham being weird for Easter. I guess so! Definitely not kosher?

~ BBQ beef brisket
~ Mashed potatoes
~ Coleslaw
~ Corn nibs with honey, salt, pepper & butter
~ Sweet potato bread
~ Pecan pie + ice cream for the adults
~ Flourless chocolate cake + white chocolate ganache for the kids (who don’t like nuts)

The brisket is made easily in the crockpot and Austin’s Own BBQ sauce. I’ll probably add spices and stuff. Mashed taters are easy, too. I have to find a coleslaw recipe still, one that has a vinegar dressing as opposed to creamy would be nice. I also found a nice recipe for the pie that has no corn syrup. I’m not avoiding it necessarily, but I’m almost out of the stuff since the caramels took up 8 oz.

Off to go grocery shopping.

lol! well the cake doesn’t look so good. i didn’t let the ganache “set” before i poured it on and it was all liquidy. it tastes good, though.
