Perils of Boyhood, a Follow-up

So, I forgot some details.
They were playing roughly at bedtime and either J tripped and his head hit the bedpost or he was shoved too hard and his head hit the bedpost. No one’s fault because they both like to play that way (can you believe it? They actually like it).
He got five stitches on the cut which was about 1 cm. long maybe a bit longer.
The instructions now are to keep it bandaged up and I have to wash it with soap and water before bed. Then wash 2x tomorrow and the day after that and then leave the band-aid off afterwards unless he goes outside.
Today he seems like he’s back to normal except for being a little tired. Understandable since he went to bed late, around 10:30 p.m.
I was kinda surprised about how late it was. They were really quick in the ER and the part that felt the longest was when they put the topical anesthetic on and we had to wait for 1/2 hr. for it to take effect. Even then, the doc did have to give him anesthetic with a shot because she really wanted it to be completely numb. She was such a great doctor and the whole staff there was so nice. Besides the doctor, there were at least four different nurses/orderlies that took his bp/temp, weight, condition, got him pillows, etc. Maybe it was like that because they were slow, but that’s a good thing in my book!
