Rain!

It rained buckets last night. On top of buckets, we had barrels and maybe even swimming pools emptied over Austin.

And it was still raining today.

The boys got up and each got to work cleaning their rooms and J got done supah fast. He really wanted to finish watching the Star Wars movie from last night! Psst…Han shot first.

Then it was on to another SW movie. Oh boy. NM was grumpy. Hubby and I were going to be glued to the computers. NOT good. I made us all get up and go somewhere. I was thinking Half Price Books so I could smell the dusty old things and flip through them and maybe find some book on identifying animals by their tracks. Hubby didn’t want anything “shopping.” So we agreed on nature center at Zilker Park. Indoors, away from the rain. But then the puppeh couldn’t come. Dilemma!

It rained harder. So we decided to go hiking in the rain.

Best thing for the boys.

They ran through puddles and ran back again. The puppeh wasn’t quite as excited, but she did get into the groove of it finally and she had fun, too. I can’t tell you how much I wished the camera was water proof. It was so pretty. No crowds either, can you imagine?
