McKinney Falls State Park Hike

This past Friday, our Nature Explorers group visited McKinney Falls State Park and trekked along the trail that led to the Lower Falls.
Of course, we had fun! Or focus this week was rocks (and no doubt it will be next week, too) and things that live in and around them. The recent rains have been a boon to Austin and the evidence was all around us. Wildflowers have popped up everywhere again so our walk was not just comfortable but pretty, too.
Toward the end, NM had some time to take photographs (which I still need to unload from the camera) and we let the rest of the group go ahead of us. Clif bars are great snacks and keep us from being hungry too quickly so I think I’ll keep buying them for our hikes so we can linger if no one else wants to.
Because we lingered, we sort of couldn’t find our way back again. That’s ok. We did get to see other things we wanted to on the walk back to the car.
Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths. Prov. 3:5-6
